Everything you need to know about this brand inspired by Amsterdam Architecture.
Strak Amsterdam is the will to egress from the traditional eyewear landscape of piecemeal metal construction and bulky acetates, transpiring to a more innovative, contemporary and uninterrupted sleek design process.
The resulting new eyewear collection is defined by frame fronts crafted from a single plate of Japanese titanium mated to temples formed from a single rod of Beta-titanium.
The Dutch word of STRAK translated as SLEEK perfectly defines this new collection.
INSPIRATION
Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Its luxurious canal houses and charming gabled facades represents the golden age of Dutch heritage. Nearing the end of the 20th century, the city emerged into a more innovative, contemporary and SLEEK architecture.
This transformation of a venerated culture was the inspiration to egress from the traditional eyewear landscape of piecemeal metal construction and bulky acetates, transpiring to a more innovative, contemporary and uninterrupted SLEEK design process.

STRAK PRODUCTS
Strak’s new collection is dedicated to the premise of being lightweight yet sturdy. Strak has gone to craft and manufacturing extremes that result in a new, and decidedly raw capture of what it means to be industrial with style.
MATERIAL
A titanium front
The front of Strak frames is made out of a single plate of Japanese titanium.
Titanium is a strong, durable, corrosion-resistant metal, it is ideal for thin frames. It is also lighter than other metals and hypoallergenic, which makes it more comfortable for the wearer.
Beta-titanium temples
The temples are formed from a single rod of Beta-titanium. Beta-titanium is an alloy of titanium that includes aluminum. It is the perfect material for the temples because it is more flexible and thus makes the adjustment easier around the ears.
