Inclinaison and temple opening
You will find in this section the guidlines to hande the temples of your Silhouette frame the appropriate way.
Take your frame in hand and compare it to the pictures, then click on the hinge you see to go directly to the section you need!
Choose your type of hinge :
Snap Hinge
There are 4 types of Snap Hinge (Open side 90° or 20° to the lense, open side 20° off the lense or with the open side parallel to the lense).
Some frames need special handling (Alpha and Lite Wave for example).
Snap hinge (regular) – Inclinaison

1. Open temple.
Hold lens fixation firmly with mounting pliers.

2. Enclose temple edge firmly and adjust inclination at the hinge into requested direction.
Snap hinge (regular) – Opening

To reduce temple opening:
Hold lens fixation firmly with pliers.
Press at the hinge with thumb to the inside.

To enlarge temple opening:
Hold lens fixation firmly with pliers.
Press at the hinge with the index finger to the outside.
Snap hinge (parallel) – Inclinaison


Hold the frame with thumb and index finger or take out the lenses and hold with plier.
Thumb and index finger of the other hand incline at the hinge.

To reduce temple opening:
Hold lens fixation firmly with mounting pliers.
Press at the hinge with thumb to the inside.

To enlarge temple opening :
Hold lens fixation firmly with mounting pliers.
Press at the hinge with the index finger to the outside.

Disc-hinge – Opening

To reduce temple opening:
Hold lens fixation firmly with pliers.
Press at the hinge with thumb to the inside.

To enlarge temple opening:
Hold lens fixation firmly with pliers.
Press at the hinge with the index finger to the outside.
Hingeless
Inclinaison


Hold lens fixation firmly with mounting pliers.
This will prevent that pressure is applied on the frame and lens.

To reduce temple opening:
Hold lens fixation firmly with your fingers and use the Blue-Multi-Tool.

For easy manual inclination bend the temple in the required direction
